First African winner of FameLab science communication competition
Tshiamo Legoale made history on the 8th of June by winning the FameLab International competition at the Cheltenham Science Festival held in the UK. Visit https://www.facebook.com/FameLabInternational/ to see how Tshiamo won over the judges with her incredible three-minute presentation on phytomining (growing gold from wheat). This leaves no doubt that South African research is truly golden. Mauritius and Uganda, first time participants, were part of the nine finalists, which leaves no doubt that African research is truly golden! Jive Media Africa and partners congratulate Tshiamo on this great win. Click here to read the press release (this will open in a new window).
