FameLab is an international competition, spanning 30 countries. It aims to develop Science Communication skills amongst those working in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Contestants will be asked to convey a scientific concept of their choice in 3 minutes to a panel of judges including leading researchers, media personalities and science policy makers. They will be judged on the content and clarity of their presentations as well as their charisma in presenting them.

Candidates must be 21-35 years old and registered or working in the above-mentioned fields at a South African organisation or institution. Register now: www.britishcouncil.org.za/famelab

This week the team will roll-out training with UNISA on Tuesday and the CSIR will host the FameLab Regional Heat at the Knowledge Commons at the CSIR in Pretoria on Wednesday.

We look forward to finding the new voices of South African science!
